Lenexa Kansas Full-time

We are an established CPA firm specializing in small business accounting, consulting, and individual and business tax preparation. We are seeking a full-time Accountant/Tax Preparer. Our firm thrives on referrals thanks to the personalized attention we provide each client. If you’re passionate about accounting and enjoy working in a close-knit, client-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial statements for approximately 20 small businesses.

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations using QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and similar accounting programs.

Handle data entry into QuickBooks and similar accounting programs, make adjusting journal entries as needed.

Process payroll and prepare quarterly/annual payroll tax filings.

Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040).

Prepare business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065).

Schedule appointments and greet clients during tax season.

Position Requirements

Degree in Accounting or Finance.

CPA or Enrolled Agent certification with the ability to file tax returns.

Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in individual and business tax preparation.

Friendly, energetic, and reliable demeanor.
