Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Manager for a new Permanent, Supportive Housing Community. This vital role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring resident well-being, and maintaining compliance with housing regulations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting vulnerable populations and possess excellent management and interpersonal skills to foster a safe, supportive environment for residents.

Duties

Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the supportive housing community, including leasing, resident services, and property maintenance
Coordinate intake processes, including eligibility screening for programs such as CES, Section 8 and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) compliance
Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution support to residents experiencing challenges or emergencies
Conduct regular property inspections and ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws
Collaborate with social service agencies to connect residents with addiction counseling, mental health services, and other support programs
Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi, prepare reports on occupancy, rent collection, and incident logs
Enforce community policies while fostering positive relationships with residents

Skills

Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and Fair Housing regulations
Excellent negotiation skills to resolve disputes effectively and maintain positive landlord-tenant relationships
Proficiency in crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies
Familiarity with property management software including Yardi or OneSite
Experience in social work or supportive housing environments with a focus on addiction counseling and motivational interviewing
Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, fair housing laws, and Section 8 program requirements
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while providing empathetic support to residents
