As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible to provide exceptional patient care to our patients. You should be able to travel to our Hauppauge, Westbury and Riverhead offices

Roles & Responsibilities:

Drawing up drugs for Endophthalmitis – Prepare antibiotics for intravitreal injection
Assist physicians with procedures, BP, Glucometer provide exceptional patient care to our patients.
Complete lab requisitions; call lab for specimen pick up if needed; Follow up on all labs.
Maintain, verify and log all inventory of all drugs
Call patients after 1st time injections
Prepare retrobulbar and subconj anesthesia
Checking expiration dates & stock levels of all drugs
Performing FA/ICG injections and monitor signs/symptoms of adverse reactions
Triage nursing calls through the on call system and messages from staff
Completing Disability forms/DMV forms/all excuse letters-school/work/gym.
Complete referral forms for patients (Forsee/Helen Keller/Lighthouse).
Monitor Emergency Kit, Spill kit & Endophthalmitis kit inventories and expiration dates
Monitor refrigerator temperatures; document them in the log book
Coordinating appointments and necessary paperwork for in office treatments
E-prescribing all medications
Counsel pre-op patients regarding procedure and medications
Write out the pre-op drop instructions
Review medical history and medications with the patients

On the job training will be provided - GAIN EXPERIENCE!

REQUIRED:

Varied Shifts 4x10 Monday-Saturday
Must have NYS License- RN

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
