SERVPRO of Sussex County is hiring a hands-on Contents Manager to build, lead, and grow our dedicated Contents Division.
We are looking for a highly organized, driven, detail-oriented, and customer-focused leader who can take ownership of the department. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who sees what needs to be done, creates a plan, and follows through without constant direction.
The Contents Manager will oversee all aspects of contents restoration, including pack-outs, inventory, cleaning, transportation, storage, pack-backs, scheduling, documentation, customer communication, staffing, quality control, and financial performance.
This position reports directly to the Restoration Operations Manager and will initially lead a dedicated Contents Supervisor. Additional Contents Technicians will be added as the department grows.
What You’ll Do
Build and manage the Contents Division using SERVPRO systems, standards, and procedures

Oversee inspections, pack-outs, inventory, cleaning, storage, transportation, and pack-backs

Deliver a professional and compassionate customer experience

Communicate with customers, insurance professionals, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members

Develop project scopes and review estimates

Schedule employees, vehicles, equipment, materials, and vendors

Ensure photographs, inventories, job notes, authorizations, and supporting documentation are complete and accurate

Track job progress, production costs, revenue, profitability, and department performance

Maintain an organized warehouse, cleaning area, storage system, and equipment inventory

Establish quality-control standards for handling and tracking customer belongings

Ensure compliance with safety and risk-management procedures

Recruit, train, supervise, and develop contents personnel

Lead and support the Contents Supervisor in daily field operations

Identify staffing needs based on workload, revenue, backlog, and profitability

Report department performance and operational needs to the Restoration Operations Manager

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

At least three years of operations experience

At least one year of management or supervisory experience

Experience in restoration, contents cleaning, moving, logistics, warehousing, construction, or a related field preferred

Restoration industry certifications preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Basic computer and mobile-technology skills

Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Ability to pass applicable employment screenings

Compensation
This position offers a competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation.
Additional compensation may be earned by meeting or exceeding department goals related to:

Specific performance goals and incentive amounts will be clearly defined.
Schedule and Travel
This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, averaging approximately 45 hours per week.
Additional hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required based on project needs and emergency-service demands.
Travel is primarily local throughout Sussex County and surrounding areas. Occasional out-of-area travel may be required.
Physical Requirements
This position includes office work, warehouse oversight, field management, and jobsite visits.
The employee may be required to:
Lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance

Stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and carry

Work around dust, odors, cleaning products, fumes, and airborne particles

Work in hot, cold, noisy, or challenging jobsite conditions
