Part-Time CNA Course Instructor (RN)
Northern Healthcare of Cascadia

Are you a passionate Registered Nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and developing the next generation of caregivers? Northern Healthcare of Cascadia is seeking a Part-Time CNA Course Instructor to lead a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program and help prepare students for successful careers in long-term care and skilled nursing.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN who wants to make a lasting impact on healthcare by sharing their knowledge, expertise, and passion for resident-centered care.

Position Summary

The CNA Course Instructor is responsible for delivering classroom instruction, skills training, and clinical education in accordance with state and regulatory requirements. The instructor will support students throughout the training process, ensuring they develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to provide exceptional resident care.

Responsibilities

Deliver CNA curriculum through classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
Teach fundamental nursing skills, resident rights, infection prevention, safety, and other required topics.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and competency documentation.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and program requirements.
Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Collaborate with facility leadership and clinical teams to coordinate clinical experiences.
Prepare students for CNA certification testing and successful employment.

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum experience as required by state regulations for CNA program instructors.
Long-term care, skilled nursing, or post-acute care experience preferred.
Previous teaching, training, precepting, or mentorship experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
