Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a full-time role that offers a rewarding opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality care to diverse patient populations. As a CNA, you will be an essential part of the care team, assisting with daily patient needs, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents and patients. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help promote healing, dignity, and well-being in our community.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Support patient transfer methods safely using appropriate techniques to prevent injury for both patients and staff.
Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring all medical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Provide basic nursing care under supervision, including wound care, catheter care, and medication administration as authorized by nursing staff.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, behavioral health support, or palliative/hospice care when required.

Qualifications

Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing.
Experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities preferred; experience in acute or sub-acute settings such as ICU or trauma centers is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and basic life support (CPR).
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) systems for accurate documentation.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices while maintaining patient safety.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Prior experience in specialized areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or behavioral health is advantageous but not required.
