Full Job Description

Business Operations Administrator

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and someone who enjoys being at the center of keeping a business running smoothly? We are seeking a Business Operations Administrator to join our team and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization.

This is a hands-on, varied position for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and working across different areas of the business. You’ll support payroll and human resources, contract administration, accounting, and general business operations, while working closely with company leadership and serving as a trusted resource for employees.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

· Process and reconcile biweekly payroll, including reviewing timecards, time-off requests, and commission calculations.

· Coordinate employee benefits, 401(k) contributions, onboarding, and other HR administrative activities.

· Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate prescreens, interview scheduling, and hiring coordination.

· Review customer leases and contracts for accuracy and completeness and manage ongoing contract administration.

· Maintain organized contract documentation and help identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information.

· Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable.

· Assist with contract billing, customer payment follow-up, financial reporting, and monthly and year-end accounting activities.

· Review invoices for accuracy prior to sending them to customers.

· Maintain company asset records and other important business documentation.

· Partner with leadership on special projects and identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and overall efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of business operations experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities. You should be comfortable working with confidential employee and financial information and enjoy being the person others can rely on to keep things organized and moving forward.

Qualifications include:

· 4–7 years of progressively responsible experience in payroll, accounting, business administration, or a related operational role.

· Experience administering payroll and employee benefits.

· Experience supporting accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies.

· Working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, and basic employment law compliance.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as experience with payroll and financial management systems.

· Experience with contract review, recruiting, and onboarding is preferred.

· A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience will also be considered.
