Job Title: Cannabis Trimmer/Packager
Position Summary: Cannabis cultivator seeking trim and packaging staff for licensed Adult Use/Recreational cultivation facility. This is a fast paced position – it is essential for potential candidates to thrive working with a sense of urgency and have a positive attitude. This position is located in Brunswick, Maine.
Essential Functions:
- Trim cannabis to meet company’s standards, producing high quality product efficiently.
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
- Exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking, and communication skills.
- Must be able to work well independently, as well as with others.
- Time management; employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals
- Employee must exhibit personal hygiene and follow health guidelines, shower prior to shift, wear supplied PPE and coveralls at all times (supplied by employer).
- Trim staff is responsible for clean-up, disinfection of all processing areas and equipment at the end of each day.
- Employee must trim at least 2 pounds (908 grams) of finished product in an 8 hour period.
Job Requirements:
- Able to work in various areas of the company as needed an/or requested by their direct supervisor; this may include but is not limited to: trimming, packaging, helping cultivation staff with harvests, cleaning, and other tasks
- Punctuality is non-negotiable
- Help create a proactive and positive environment; a positive attitude and self-motivation to meet and/or exceed goals.
- Employee must be able to identify potential problems with any strain/product and communicate with direct supervisors as necessary.
- Ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over 8-hour work periods without losing quality.
Additional Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Must have or acquire an IIC card
· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
· Must be compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Minimum Education and Experience:
· High School Education or GED graduate; some college or college graduate preferred.
· Previous trimming and processing experience preferred but not required
Working Conditions:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
· Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour depending on experience and ability.
