Full Job Description

SUMMARY:

With physician oversight, the Cardiac Device Technician (Non-certified) is responsible for the scheduling and conducting trans-telephonic and internet cardiac device checks for patients with pacemaker and ICD devices. The individual must have a thorough knowledge
of normal heart rhythm, pacemaker functions and arrhythmias as they will need to identify pacemaker and heart rhythm problems and works with providers to resolve the issue presented. The Cardiac Device Technician assists the department with various office tasks, answering phone calls and triaging calls to the appropriate individuals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years’ experience in a Cardiology or electrocardiogram (ECG) field preferred. Cardiac technician experience with EKG/arrhythmia training desired. Candidate must possess a working knowledge of cardiac related medical
terminology, anatomy and physiology medications.

PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:

Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; lift, move and transport patients and equipment; manual dexterity and motor coordination, articulate speech, visual and auditory acuity.
