Are you looking for a fun and exciting job? Look no further than Kentucky Horse Park. We are hiring Seasonal positions in the Maintenance Department. We have several openings in Mechanical Maintenance, landscaping, housekeeping and general maintenance sections.

The ideal candidates for these positions will have a strong work ethic, work well with a team, and be highly motivated.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Mows, weed eats, and landscapes.
Plants, transplants, cultivates and water flowers, shrubbery and trees.
Seeds lawns, rakes leaves and keeps grounds free of other debris and trash.
Shovels snow manually from walks and spreads salt on passageways.
Moves soil, equipment and materials. Digs holes and trenches.
Assists with general maintenance tasks, repairs, and projects.
Assists in pruning and trimming shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth. Applies fertilizer, herbicides and insecticides under directions of licensed applicator. Trims and edges walks and flower beds using edging tools.
Assists with setting up, breakdown and all aspects of the events at the park.
Helps with trash removal and cleans up after and during events.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must have a valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
A majority of time may be spent working outside in inclement weather. Will be exposed to insects, snakes and other harmful animals. Employees in this class will be required to operate various types of equipment used for general building maintenance, lawn maintenance, and cleaning.
