Full Job Description

Desktop Support Technician

Long term Ongoing Contract (potential to extend or convert full time)

Onsite in Frankfort, KY

$18-20/hr

Location: Frankfort, KY (Onsite)

Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shifts (start times between 7:00 AM–8:00 AM; end times between 4:00 PM–5:00 PM)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking motivated Desktop Engineers/Desktop Support Technicians to join a growing IT support team in Frankfort, Kentucky. This position is ideal for candidates with strong computer skills who enjoy hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise desktop environments. We currently have two openings and are looking to begin interviews within the next one to two weeks.

Key Responsibilities

Image and deploy Windows 11 workstations.
Provide desktop support and basic break/fix troubleshooting.
Assist with hardware and software installations and configurations.
Perform routine workstation maintenance and support activities.
Create or modify basic PowerShell scripts (preferred).
Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to support end-user computing needs.

Required Qualifications

General computer and desktop support knowledge.
Experience working with Windows operating systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite in Frankfort, KY.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience imaging and deploying Windows 11 devices.
Basic PowerShell scripting experience.
Prior experience in desktop engineering, desktop support, help desk, or IT support roles.
