Core Controls is looking for a motivated, experienced installer to join our building automation systems (BAS) team in Georgetown, KY.
Building automation is one of the fastest-growing trades in the construction industry — every new commercial building, hospital, school, and data center needs a controls system, and skilled installers are in short supply. Responsibilities
- Install conduit and low-voltage wiring in accordance with project specifications.
- Install HVAC building control system panels and field devices with precision and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Work with and integrate HVAC equipment and mechanical systems, including VFDs, chillers, boilers, pumps, and fan systems.
- Install and integrate peripheral devices and sensors such as CO2 monitors, space temperature sensors, humidity sensors, and flow meters.
- Support commissioning and start-up of control systems, including basic verification using a laptop and manufacturer software.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and customers to ensure systems are installed correctly and on schedule.

Skills & Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a related trade. We welcome backgrounds in electrical, HVAC/mechanical, fire alarm, security and access control, elevator, datacom/low-voltage cabling, instrumentation, or industrial maintenance.
- Transitioning military electronics technicians are strongly encouraged to apply. Navy ET/IC, Air Force avionics, and similar electronics ratings translate directly to building controls work.
- Prior building automation or controls experience is a plus, not a requirement. If you have solid trade fundamentals and the desire to learn controls, we will train you.
- Comfortable working with a computer for system verification and diagnostics.
- Interest in eventually leading a crew is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Must be able to pass random drug tests.
- Must have a good Motor Vehicle Report, a valid driver's license, a valid Social Security card/number, and pass a criminal background check.
