Full Job Description

At The Jeffcoat Firm, we are dedicated to serving everyday people in crisis. What you’ll be doing:

Gather and process critical case information, including medical records, radiology imagining and medical billing information.
Manage follow-ups and track HIPAA releases through FAX, Email, Mail, and third-party portals (ie. Datavant, ChartSwap, MRO, ect.)
Manage expenses as they relate to payment and release of client documents.
Draft and send request letters to medical providers.
Organize and maintain both physical and electronic case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to support seamless case management and workflow.
Handle administrative tasks, including mailing, scanning, and faxing important documents.
Attend required morning and monthly meetings.
Performs other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Who you are:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of law firm experience. (College Degree may substitute time of experience)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in using legal software, case management systems, or Salesforce is a plus.

Requirements:

Hours: 8:30AM—5:30PM Monday – Friday
Location: Full-time in office

Mobility:

Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time.

Physical Demands:

Ability to speak, see, and hear other personnel. Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard. Able to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to travel within the facility and to other locations as required.
