Summary of Job Responsibilities: Plans, coordinates, and directs quality program designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Assures that the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
- Performs quality reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Reviews all data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
- Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
- Plays active role on quality management teams within NPI and organization.
- Designs and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
- Partners with the QA team to investigates and monitor customer complaints regarding quality.
- Responsible for the creation of PPAP/Part Approval Packages
- Responsible for the creation of control plans for PPAP/Part Approval Packages
- Responsible for creating PFMEA for PPAP18. Manages facilities ISO certification
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages and oversees the Quality Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

1. Responsible for working safely and reporting any unsafe work habits or conditions to a supervisory member, HR Professional or a member of the Safety & Health Committee including following department rules and procedures.
2. Requests assistance for heavier lifting tasks. Uses proper lifting techniques and lifting aid to avoid injury.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, IQMS Manufacturing software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
