THE CADDIE PROGRAM
One of the most important values of Lexington Country Club is the establishment of an exceptional caddie program. The caddie program at LCC is run by the caddie master and head golf professional. The caddie master is responsible for the recruitment , training, and evaluation of all caddies. The membership evaluates the caddies after each round and their progress is closely tracked by the caddie master.
TRAINING
All new caddies are introduced to the golf course in a series of training sessions conducted by the caddie master. These sessions take place in groups and cover the necessities of caddying.
Etiquette / Attitude / Work Ethic / Skill
Upon completion of training, the new caddies will complete a shadow round with an Honor Caddie. It is here where the intricate details of their training are developed and shown in a real world setting. The new caddies learn by observing an experienced caddie, while the member can still enjoy his or her round of golf.
CADDIE SKILLS
There are many things that separate caddies from each other; age, experience, and work ethic just to name a few. The relative skill set is no different. The task of rating caddies can be a challenging one. Yet for the sake of the entire caddie program it is very important to do. We ask the membership to base their rating at the end of the round on the following skill sets and to be fair with their rating.
