Full Job Description

The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for leading Bluegrass REALTORS®' digital marketing, social media, and brand storytelling efforts while providing support of the Association's signature meetings and events. This position develops engaging content that showcases the value of REALTOR® membership, highlights industry trends, celebrates member successes, and strengthens the Association's reputation throughout Central and Southern Kentucky.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller who understands how to connect with audiences across multiple platforms through compelling video, photography, written content, and emerging digital trends. This individual is passionate about creating content that informs, inspires, and drives engagement while ensuring association events support the organization's overall goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing & Brand Storytelling

Content Strategy & Creation

Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with the Association's strategic initiatives.
Create high-quality digital content including videos, reels, graphics, photography, podcasts, newsletters, blogs, infographics, and promotional materials.
Capture compelling stories featuring members, communities, advocacy efforts, education programs, charitable initiatives, and housing market insights.
Produce engaging written content for social media, websites, email marketing, press releases, and member communications.
Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all marketing channels.

Social Media Management

Manage the Association's presence across all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
Develop platform-specific content strategies designed to maximize engagement, audience growth, and member participation.
Monitor digital trends, platform updates, and best practices to continually evolve the Association's online presence.
Create and manage editorial calendars that support organizational priorities and campaigns.
Foster meaningful online conversations by responding to comments, messages, and member inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Video Production & Visual Storytelling

Capture and edit professional-quality photography and video highlighting Association programs, events, members, and community impact.
Produce short-form and long-form video content optimized for social media and digital marketing.
Identify creative storytelling opportunities that demonstrate the value of REALTOR® membership.
Build a library of digital assets for ongoing marketing campaigns.

Marketing Strategy & Communications

Collaborate with departments to develop integrated marketing campaigns supporting education, advocacy, membership, professional development, and community outreach initiatives.
Assist with media relations, public awareness campaigns, and promotional efforts.
Support website content updates and digital communications.
Coordinate marketing efforts with external vendors, photographers, videographers, and creative partners as needed.

Analytics & Performance

Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance including social media engagement, audience growth, website traffic, email performance, and campaign effectiveness.
Provide regular reports with recommendations for improving reach, engagement, and overall marketing performance.
Utilize data to refine content strategies and maximize return on marketing initiatives.

Event Marketing & Oversight

Coordinate event promotion through digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, print materials, and other communication channels.
Capture photography, video, testimonials, and live social media content before, during, and after Association events.
Assist with planning and execution of Association events while coordinating logistics with staff, committees, volunteers, venues, caterers, and vendors.
Conduct site visits and assist in venue selection when appropriate.
Be available to attend Association meetings and events during evenings or weekends as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field preferred.
Two or more years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, communications, or brand marketing.
Exceptional storytelling, writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience creating engaging video, photography, and graphic content for digital platforms.
Strong understanding of current social media trends, algorithms, audience engagement strategies, and emerging technologies.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software, and content management platforms.
Working knowledge of website content management systems and email marketing platforms.
Experience interpreting analytics and using data to improve marketing performance.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience collaborating across departments while managing competing priorities.
Event planning or project management experience preferred.
Customer service experience with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for Association meetings and events.
