Position Summary
VASCOR Transport is seeking a full-time Director of Fleet Services to lead the maintenance, repair, and overall performance of our truck and trailer fleet, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role will work directly with the Operations and Safety Departments to ensure all necessary regulatory and customer requirements are met.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle licensure and registration. Ensuring all active equipment has the proper licensure and up-to-date documentation.
- Manage after-market fleet equipment purchases, installation, and returns.
- Establish long-term asset replacement and capital planning strategies.
- Analyze all operating metrics, provide guidance on trends and develop actions to correct performance issues or inefficiencies.
- Develop and execute a multi-year fleet maintenance strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Present fleet performance, maintenance trends, and financial results to executive leadership.
- Reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across tractors and trailers.
- Provide input for annual budgets related to maintenance and equipment costs.
- Establish and refine existing processes and procedures within the maintenance department.
- Direct all preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Vendor and procurement management.
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce roadside breakdowns.
- Ensure maximum fleet availability while maintaining best-in-class safety standards.
- Standardize maintenance procedures across all facilities.
- Asset lifecycle management.
- Ensure all equipment meets DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company compliance standards.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.
Training
· Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
· ASE certifications or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.

Experience
· Must have a high school diploma or GED
· 7 years of progressive experience in a maintenance related field
· At least 5 years of Supervisor experience
· Must be able to travel occasionally
· Experience managing multiple maintenance locations
· Proven history of reducing maintenance costs and meeting deadlines
· Familiar with work order-based Fleet Maintenance software programs
