The team is looking for a Front Desk Manager to join the Hyatt Regency Boston/Cambridge that is just as excited to make every welcome a success. The ideal candidate is someone that is a knowledgeable, energetic, and strives to execute events both timely and in perfect order!

A bit about us:

Situated along the scenic Charles River and overlooking the Boston skyline, the recently renovated Hyatt Regency Boston / Cambridge is a welcoming hotel conveniently located near Cambridge’s Kendall Square, the city steps from some of the most prestigious universities such as MIT, Boston University and Harvard. The short 5-mile drive from Logan Airport makes travel fast and convenient. Our guests can spend the afternoon walking, running, or biking along the Charles River or work out using our Fitness Center. Our food & beverage offerings include in-room dining in guest rooms and suites with breathtaking views of the Charles River and the city of Boston or equally curated experiences in our seasonal patio or the dining room of our, soon to open, newly conceptualized restaurant and bar lounge.

Our central location provides easy access to points of interest in both Cambridge & Boston!

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING EVERY DAY-

The Front Desk Manager must demonstrate a commitment to customer service by soliciting and responding promptly to guest needs. Ensure all members of the Front Office staff, including new hires, are trained to meet standards of each component. Empower staff to deliver exceptional customer service, meeting or exceeding budgeted profit and margin of the department. Prepare annual departmental budget that accurately reflects the hotel's operations plan. Manage human resources functions including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, coaching, performance reviews, recognition programs, maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.

QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years prior departmental leadership experience in front office or related disciplines
Time management and negotiation skills
Ability to manage and lead each discipline of the department independently
Ability to manage according to employment and Innkeeper laws of the jurisdiction
Prior cash handling experience necessary
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
Read, write and speak English fluently
Computer experience required. Proficient in Opera PMS, Micros, Microsoft Office and Excel
Overtime Eligible Manager (OEM)
Target Salary $80,000-$85,000
