Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Canine Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily walking, training, and management of dogs in various settings. This position requires a strong understanding of animal behavior and a commitment to maintaining a safe and positive environment for the dogs.
Duties
- Provide daily exercise for the dogs.
- Implement training techniques to enhance obedience and socialization skills.
- Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas where dogs are housed or exercised.
- Handle dogs safely during training sessions, walks, and other activities.
- Collaborate with team members to create a supportive environment for both staff and animals.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pet care practices and dog training techniques.
- Experience in animal handling, including familiarity with various dog breeds and temperaments.
- Competence in animal care practices, including recognizing signs of distress or illness.
- Experience in pet sitting or similar roles is beneficial.
