Job Summary

Responsibilities

Support the Director in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet high-quality standards.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Oversee food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Assist with menu planning, inventory control, and cost management to optimize food quality and minimize waste.
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service.
Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor team performance for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory levels, and safety inspections to support operational excellence.

Skills

Experience in dining environments with strong culinary skills in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead and manage diverse kitchen teams effectively.
Knowledge of dietary department standards and experience with catering or banquet services.
Expertise in inventory management, cost control, and food safety sanitizing procedures.
Familiarity with restaurant or hospitality management practices including menu planning and shift management.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Background in managing food service operations within the food industry or restaurant settings; experience in managing teams as a chef preferred.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
