Full Job Description

As a Community Supports Network (CSN) employee, you will have an opportunity to be part of a team that supports people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health needs to increase their independence and develop their talents and skills to reach personalized goals and improve their quality of life. When doing this, you become the teacher and learner all at the same time. Areas of support that your team will focus on often include; community involvement, job skills, education, physical & behavioral health, and daily living skills.

As a Front Line Supervisor (FLS)

The Front Line Supervisor (FLS) – Risk Homes provides direct leadership and oversight for residential services supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who may experience significant behavioral and mental health needs. This role is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of life of the individuals served while leading staff, implementing behavior support strategies, maintaining regulatory compliance, and responding effectively to crises.

Due to the complexity of the individuals supported, applicants must have previous behavioral health experience, with PLMHP (Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner) or LMHP licensure strongly preferred. Candidates with equivalent behavioral health, crisis intervention, or risk management experience will also be considered.

Front Line Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for designated risk homes.
Coach, mentor, and develop Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality, trauma-informed supports.
Implement and monitor behavior support plans, safety plans, and crisis intervention strategies.
Collaborate with clinical teams, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, nurses, guardians, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Respond to behavioral crises and provide coaching to staff during and after incidents.
Review and debrief incidents, identify trends, and develop proactive strategies to reduce risk.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing standards, Medicaid requirements, and agency policies.
Complete documentation reviews, audits, investigations, and corrective action plans as needed.
Participate in Individual Support Plan (ISP) meetings and assist in developing individualized programming.
Maintain staffing, scheduling, and on-call responsibilities to ensure continuity of care.
Promote a culture focused on person-centered supports, dignity, community inclusion, and positive outcomes.
Work in tangent with the Supervising Practitioner to ensure services are provided as instructed

Front Line Supervisor Requirements:

1 Year experience in a supervisor role required
1 Year experience in the field of intellectual disabilities and/or behavioral services preferred
Must be 19 years of age or older
PLMHP/LMHP preferred, or bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related field with significant behavioral health experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting individuals with behavioral or mental health challenges, preferably in developmental disabilities or residential services.
Experience with crisis intervention, behavior management, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation techniques.
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Must pass all background checks
Must have excellent attendance and punctuality and the ability to achieve and maintain training and certifications which require a full range of motion and physical strength

Knowledge, Skills, Experience (NOT REQUIRED just nice to have!): We provide free in-service training, however, experience with any of the following is always nice to have!

Supporting individuals with co-occurring intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental illness.
Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP).
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Safety Care, or similar crisis management certification.
Experience working in HCBS, Medicaid-funded services, or other regulated residential settings
