Job description:

Simplestate Property Management is looking for an experienced Leasing & Property Management Assistant to join our Lincoln team.

This position will work closely with our Property Manager and will play an important role in keeping our properties leased, organized, and running smoothly. We are looking for someone who has prior residential leasing experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with residents and prospective tenants but also likes the administrative and organizational side of property management.

What You'll Do

Handle the leasing process from initial inquiries through move-in
Respond to prospective resident inquiries and schedule property showings
Conduct property tours and communicate property features, pricing, and availability
Process and review rental applications
Prepare and maintain leasing paperwork and documentation
Complete data entry and maintain accurate property and resident records
Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and other resident-related tasks
Keep property listings and availability information accurate and up to date
Communicate professionally with current residents, prospective residents, vendors, and team members
Assist the Property Manager with day-to-day property management responsibilities
Help keep the Property Manager organized and on top of deadlines, follow-ups, and administrative tasks
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the property management team

What We're Looking For

Required:

Previous residential leasing experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working with computers and entering data accurately
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Professional and friendly demeanor
Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player

Preferred:

Previous property management experience
Experience with property management software
Experience processing rental applications
Knowledge of residential leasing practices and procedures

The Right Person

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed.

No two days in property management are exactly the same. The right person will be comfortable switching between leasing a property, answering a resident's question, processing an application, entering information into the system, and helping the Property Manager tackle whatever needs to get done that day.

We value people who take ownership of their work, communicate well, and don't need to be told every step of the way what needs to be done.
