Full Job Description

We are seeking a licensed professional structural engineer to join our team.

Use your expertise to help us deliver exceptional designs, using innovative methods and creating solutions for our diverse range of clients. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare reports, designs and structural drawings
Make structural calculations.
Consider the strength of construction materials and select accordingly
Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
Coordinate with professional staff including architects, drafters, and other engineers.
Monitor and inspect work undertaken by contractors to ensure compliance with contract documents.
Perform site investigations to evaluate existing building structures and determine the capacity of existing structural systems to support new planned elements.
Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes.
Coordinate with construction and manufacturing teams to maximize construction efficiency for each project.
Provide support for construction field teams.
Mentor interns and younger engineers.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, plus minimum of three years post licensure relevant work experience
Professional Engineer license with ability to obtain SE license in Nebraska.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and other industry-standard structural engineering software.
Decisive with excellent critical thinking skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations and ability to collaborate with professionals from other disciplines.
Historic Preservation experience is a plus.
