Job Description: Content Marketing Coordinator
REPORTS TO: President and Operations Manager
STATUS: Full-time, Year-Round, Hourly, Non-exempt
HOURS: 40 hours per week, weekend availability required
The Content Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role within the WMAA Marketing team by leading and implementing our content strategy across both online and offline platforms. This position demands a strategic thinker with exceptional storytelling capabilities and a deep understanding of how content influences brand engagement and conversion. The coordinator collaborates with team members to ensure that our content aligns with brand goals, meets the needs of our target audience, and effectively increases tourism to the White Mountains Attractions and the region.
In addition, this role works closely with the Lost River Gorge team to boost awareness and attendance through strategic and cost-effective digital marketing campaigns for Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves.
The Content Marketing Coordinator is also responsible for enhancing our brands and fostering robust online communities via our social media platforms. This involves developing and managing social media content aimed at engaging users and fostering an interactive relationship between consumers, the Association, and Lost River Gorge. Additionally, the coordinator will create and manage social media advertising campaigns, gather data, and analyze this data to refine campaign effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
- Assist the administrators of WMAA and Lost River Gorge to advance the goals of the organization by developing and managing content marketing strategies in line with company objectives
- Aids in building content campaigns to support specific marketing objectives across different channels in conjunction with the overall marketing plan
- Partner and communicate with advertising agencies and vendors to produce content in line with current strategies
- Evaluate the effectiveness of content marketing programs
- Assist in increasing membership and advertising sales across all channels
- Successfully manage projects as assigned in a timely and well-organized manner
MARKETING DUTIES (including but not limited to):
Note: all members of the WMA team are actively involved in marketing the White Mountains Attractions, the region, and Lost River Gorge.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy that includes blogs, email campaigns, social media posts, video content, and print.
- Research ideas for print, digital, and social marketing campaigns
- Maintain content for VisitWhiteMountains.com and provide support for LostRiverGorge.com
- Assist in the development of presentation materials
- Aid in the creation and distribution of WMA brochures and publications
- Oversee the content production calendar to manage timelines, deliverables, and publication schedules across various media platforms and outlets
- Analyze content marketing data to evaluate the effectiveness of each campaign and initiative, adjusting strategies as needed to enhance future results
- Update and maintain a brand style guide that encapsulates the character and mission of the Association and Lost River Gorge
- Manage the content budget and social media strategies for both the White Mountains New Hampshire and Lost River Gorge, ensuring efficient resource allocation
- Increase web traffic through strategic content distribution to online channels and social media platforms
- Create social media campaigns aligned with marketing goals
- Stay current on industry trends to adjust the content strategy accordingly
- Engage with key stakeholders within the company to ensure all organizational content needs are met
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and developing content strategies that engage, inform, and motivate
- Strong self-motivation, project management, and customer service skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to confidently attend local, statewide, and/or domestic shows/events on behalf of the Association
- Experience in content management with direct responsibility for content strategy and budgeting
- Knowledge of CMS and CRM systems, including basic web design
- Analytical skills to forecast trends and challenges
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in marketing
- Proven work experience in social media management, including advertising and audience platforms for Facebook and Instagram
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
