About us

Pioneer Greens Dentistry is looking for a scheduler/front desk receptionist with a positive attitude and outstanding work ethic to join our team! At PGD, employees feel like a valued part of our team and are regularly asked for input to help improve work flow/systems and make our patient experience even more exceptional. Our ideal schedule coordinator is a team player who comes to work every day with a smile and positive attitude and is willing to learn as they go! This role requires outstanding phone and text message etiquette which includes a clear and understandable speaking voice and English proficiency.

Candidates may be required to complete a brief phone screening prior to in-person interviews to ensure adequate phone skills to meet the position requirements. Pay is determined based on experience.

Position Duties (not inclusive):

Operate telephone to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, taking messages and scheduling patient appointments.
Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs with a consistently positive attitude and smile.
Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
Utilize Eaglesoft and Practice by Numbers software with adequate level of mastery (training provided).
Manage the doctor and hygiene schedule according to appointment scheduling guidelines to meet office goals.
Manage schedule flow, patient confirmation messaging, and contact patients to confirm scheduled appointments.
Complete patient check outs and collect co-pays prior to dismissal from appointments.
Enter new patient personal and dental insurance information accurately.
Follow-up and reactivate overdue hygiene patients.
Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person.
File and maintain records. Send and receive records via email and enter accurately.
Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages and courier deliveries.
Communicate with clinical team and office manager throughout the day to maintain efficiency with schedule and office flow.
Transmit information or documents to patients or other providers using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
Shared office cleaning responsibilities (trash removal, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, etc) on a daily and weekly basis.
Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
Comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.
Work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
Familiar with and implements HIPAA policies to protect and maintain all confidential patient information.
Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.

Skills:

Prefer 1-2 years of dental office experience, but will consider other candidates with a friendly/outgoing personality, outstanding work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Prefer familiarity with Eaglesoft/Dentrix/OpenDental

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
