PART-TIME OFFICE ASSISTANT

Lincoln Stars Hockey & The Ice Box
Lincoln, Nebraska

The Lincoln Stars are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Part-Time Office Assistant to provide additional support for the Ticket Office, Fan Services, and events hosted at the Ice Box.

This position will help create a positive experience for fans, ticket buyers, event attendees, and community members. The ideal candidate is comfortable assisting customers, managing multiple responsibilities, and working in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.

Responsibilities

Assist fans and customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
Provide support for individual, group, season, and event ticket sales.
Help process ticket orders, payments, exchanges, and account updates.
Answer general questions regarding Lincoln Stars games, Ice Box events, seating, parking, facility policies, and ticket options.
Assist with ticket distribution, will-call preparation, and game-day box office operations.
Provide excellent customer service and help resolve fan questions or concerns professionally.
Support front-office staff with data entry, filing, mailings, copying, and other administrative responsibilities.
Assist with event preparation, including signage, credentials, guest lists, informational materials, and hospitality needs.
Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming office and Ticket Office environment.
Communicate event and customer information accurately to the appropriate departments.
Assist with Lincoln Stars home games, tournaments, concerts, and other events hosted at the Ice Box.
Perform additional office, ticketing, and event-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, office administration, ticketing, hospitality, retail, or event operations preferred.
Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Comfortable working with computers, phones, email, and basic office software.
Ability to learn ticketing and customer relationship management systems.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to remain calm and professional when assisting customers or responding to concerns.
An interest in sports, entertainment, and community events is helpful but not required

Schedule

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule based on office and event needs. Availability during evenings, weekends, and select holidays is required, particularly for Lincoln Stars home games and other events at the Ice Box.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to move throughout the Ice Box and assist in different areas of the facility.
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work in an arena environment that may include cold temperatures, crowds, and elevated noise levels.
