Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our modern, technology-forward Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice in Lincolnshire, Illinois.

This is a full-time, in-person position. Compensation is $24–$32 per hour, based on directly relevant experience and demonstrated skills. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates*.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Treatment Coordinator is a key point of contact for patients from their initial consultation through surgical scheduling and follow-up. You will help patients understand their doctor-recommended oral surgery treatment plans, insurance estimates, financial options, and next steps while coordinating closely with the oral surgeon and clinical team.

Our practice provides dental implant surgery, wisdom tooth removal, surgical extractions, and sedation. We are a warm, hardworking, and dependable team that values exceptional patient service, professionalism, accuracy, teamwork, and consistent follow-through.

The ideal candidate is friendly and compassionate while also being polished, organized, confident, and comfortable handling detailed conversations with patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Present and review oral surgery treatment plans clearly, accurately, and compassionately.
Explain treatment fees, insurance estimates, and available payment or financing options.
Schedule consultations, surgical procedures, and follow-up appointments while helping manage the surgeon’s schedule efficiently.
Verify and accurately document dental and medical insurance benefits, as applicable.
Follow up with patients regarding pending treatment, scheduling, questions, financial arrangements, or concerns.
Help patients feel informed and comfortable as they move forward with recommended care.
Coordinate closely with the oral surgeon, surgical assistants, and front-office team to provide a smooth patient experience.
Maintain complete and accurate patient information while protecting patient confidentiality.
Identify opportunities to improve office workflow, communication, and patient service.
Assist with additional administrative and office-management responsibilities based on experience, performance, and practice needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least one year of experience in an oral surgery or dental office is required.
Previous experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator, Patient Care Coordinator, Financial Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinator, or dental front-office team member is strongly preferred.
Experience presenting treatment plans, verifying insurance benefits, discussing financial arrangements, or coordinating surgical appointments is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A warm, professional, and confident manner when speaking with patients in person and by telephone.
Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
Dependable, punctual, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy practice.
Comfortable learning and using dental practice-management software and other office technology.
Friendly, team-oriented, and committed to creating an exceptional patient experience.
