A wonderful family in Lincolnton, NC is searching for a fun, energetic, and responsible full-time Nanny/ Household Manager to join their family as soon as possible!
The family has two children: An outgoing and chatty almost 5-year-old daughter and a sweet, inquisitive 2-year-old son. Their daughter is vibrant, curious, and loves learning and asking questions. Their son is a little more reserved when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, he is playful, engaging, and full of personality. Both children enjoy preschool and thrive with caregivers who are actively engaged with them.
This is an active family who loves to get out and enjoy life together. Their days may include swimming at the country club, riding horses, playing sports, spending time outdoors, listening to music, or doing arts and crafts. They are looking for a caregiver who genuinely enjoys being active with children and can bring creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to their days.
Schedule Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility needed between approximately 6:00 AM–10:00 PM
- Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours/week; some weeks may be closer to 50 hours
- Overtime: Guaranteed overtime pay offered
- Occasional overnights: Appreciated but not required
- Benefits: Healthcare stipend, PTO, Paid holidays, and Sick leave.
The family is looking for someone who understands that this position requires flexibility. Care is needed approximately 50 hours/week with a variable schedule. Start times are typically around 7:00 AM, with occasional 6:00 AM starts. End times are generally earlier, with some later evenings up to 10:00 PM, particularly on Thursdays. The nanny would not be working the full 6:00 AM–10:00 PM window; some evening hours may overlap with parents being home and getting settled from the workday.
This position combines hands-on childcare with household management. The ideal candidate will enjoy keeping the children engaged while also helping the household run smoothly.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing loving, attentive, and engaging care for both children
- Driving the children to and from preschool and other activities
- Planning and participating in arts and crafts, outdoor play, and hands-on activities
- Encouraging active play and limiting screen time
- Helping with children's laundry
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen and children's areas tidy
- Picking up toys and maintaining general household organization
- Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
- Helping with other light household tasks related to the children and family
- Occasionally taking the children to the nearby country club, where they are familiar with the staff and enjoy spending time
- Supporting the family with occasional schedule changes and flexibility as needed
- Full family meal preparation is not required, but preparing simple meals and snacks for the children would be a wonderful addition. The children are simple eaters.
The parents both occasionally work from home and also have work responsibilities outside the home. Dad manages a nearby country club and owns a cattle farm, so the family has a fun and unique lifestyle with plenty of opportunities for the children to spend time outdoors.
