Full Job Description

Quality Control Inspector

Position Summary

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for inspecting materials and finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer expectations. This role helps maintain product consistency, reduce defects, and support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods for quality and compliance.
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring tools and testing equipment.
Compare products to blueprints, specifications, work orders, and quality standards.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
Identify, isolate, and report defective or non-conforming products.
Ensure compliance with company quality procedures.
Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality output.
Report damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies to management.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or production REQUIRED. This is NOT laboratory position.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout production or warehouse areas.
Ability to perform repetitive inspection tasks for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds as needed.
Ability to work in manufacturing environments with noise, machinery, or varying conditions.

Work Environment

Manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
Exposure to machinery, materials, and industrial processes.
May require shift work, overtime, or flexible scheduling based on production needs.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
