Pay: $110,000 a year

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team in Kenilworth, New Jersey. This role is responsible for supporting the closing procedures, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, performing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance activities. The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with the Director of Accounting and provide guidance to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.

This position is fully on-site and requires collaboration with multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform monthly, quarterly and year end closing procedures
Weekly bank reconciliation
General Ledger Journal Entries (incl. Payroll entries)
Processing / recording of quarterly inventory counts
Monthly calculations of broker commissions and preparation for approval
Prepare documents/information for external auditors
Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations with local and international sister companies
Review weekly pay runs (ACH, wire incl. international wires, check, direct deposit)
Issuance of 1099's
Provide guidance and supports the local Accounts Receivable Manager and Accounts Payable specialist.
Work with AP & AR managers on weekly reporting, posting batches and reconciling subledgers to the general ledger.
Approve ACH templates and process for payment.
Work in partnership with Director of Accounting to enhance process and workflows to create efficiencies.

Experience & Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
At least five years’ experience of related experience required

The ideal candidate has the following skill set and/or experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Spanish an advantage)
Strong analytic abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
High degree of attention to detail
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ownership and pride in work product
