Full Job Description

Position: Wellness Supervisor

Shift Availability

SUNDAY - THURSDAY 1:00PM-9:00PM and flexibility to cover for vacations and sick time from 7AM-7PM and 7PM-7AM. Must be able to work an overnight shift when needed.

Note: There may be times when shifts extend beyond 12 hours based on staffing needs.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Wellness Supervisor who will serve a dual role as both a Wellness Supervisor, Medication Technician and Care Specialist. This position is crucial for ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents while overseeing daily operations and medication management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, an ability to multitask efficiently, and a compassionate approach to resident care.

Supervisory Duties

- Oversee daily operations of the facility during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with state regulations and community policies.

- Lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

- Conduct regular staff meetings to address concerns, provide training, and promote continuous improvement in resident care.

- Assist in the scheduling of staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to labor regulations.

Medication Management

- Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state laws.

- Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider.

- Maintain accurate medication administration records (MAR) and ensure proper documentation in residents' care plans.

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review and update medication regimens as needed.

Resident Care

- Provide direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families, ensuring open communication and addressing any concerns promptly.

- Conduct regular wellness checks and assessments to monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being.

Facility Management

- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the facility, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.

- Implement and uphold infection control protocols and emergency procedures.

- Assist in maintaining inventory of medical supplies and equipment, making necessary orders in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

- Current certification as a PCA, HHA, or CNA is REQUIRED.

- First aide certificate

- High school diploma or GED is required

- Experience in an assisted living or nursing home environment is required.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Knowledge of medication management and assisted living regulations in New York State is a plus.

- Must demonstrate a high level of responsibility and dependability, especially when working extended shifts.

Additional Requirements:

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

- Willingness to work shifts that may exceed 12 hours when necessary.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
