This position exists to coordinate all activities related to receiving, management and distribution of state owned property and distribution of consumable inventory within MCF-Lino Lakes. All responsibilities must be performed with a major emphasis on security to ensure contraband or unauthorized items do not enter the secure perimeter through the warehouse.
This position also provides assistance to other areas in Support Services and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Math skills sufficient to perform basic math calculations such as correctly processing orders and United Parcel Service (UPS) shipments, determining proper mail postage, reconciling order statements, and preparing purchase requests.

English language skills (written, oral, and ability to read) sufficient to communicate clearly and accurately while speaking or writing and sufficient to understand the variety of documents that are necessary to read.

Typing/keyboarding skills sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy.

Word processing skills (preferably Microsoft Word) sufficient to prepare documents and reports that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors.

Spreadsheet software skills (preferably Microsoft Excel) sufficient to enter data in, develop, and manipulate spreadsheets.

Data entry skills sufficient to access and update DOC-specific databases and other computer systems to gather and report data. Systems include the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT)-Fixed Assets, iTag, JPay, Boxi reports, Electronic Inter-office Requisition (EIORs), Outlook, and iShare, FedEx, Speedy and mailroom programs.

Database management skills sufficient to query information from computer logs and systems such as the Correctional Operations Management System (COMS).

Customer service skills sufficient to deal diplomatically with staff, incarcerated individuals, other agencies, and the general public via the phone and in-person.

Experience working in a warehouse in shipping and receiving.

Experience using a pallet jack/and or forklift.

Experience working with fixed assets in a large organization.

Experience working in a correctional setting.

Knowledge of iTag, COMS and/or JPay.

The completion of pre-placement physical components may be required for this position. These components may consist of a tuberculosis screening, commercial drivers license (CDL) drug test, and/or respirator clearance. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.
Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.
