We a new cafe looking to open in August 2026. Join our talented team as a versatile Barista, Baker, or Line Cook, where you can show your passion for excellent food and great coffee. In this dynamic role, you will craft delicious coffee beverages, prepare fresh baked goods, and serve high-quality food to delight our customers. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will create memorable experiences for every guest while supporting the smooth operation of our bustling café environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.
Ideal Barista Candidate:
Have a minimum of 2 years of barista experience
Have knowledge of coffee and are eager to learn about new ingredients and methods
Have experience in multiple stations of a restaurant or cafe service
Are able to lift, bend, reach, and move quickly
Are willing and able to learn and grow
Support their team members and management
Are able to communicate well and in a kind and efficient way
Are able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours
Ideal Baker/Pastry Candidate:
-Knowledgeable in laminated doughs, has experience with different mixing methods, has a food safety certificate and at least 2 years of experience.
-Must be able to lift 50lbs.
-Stand/walk 6-8 hrs per shift
-Strong work ethic/follow directions/team player
-Reliable and punctual
-Previous baking experience is a MUST.
-Proficient mathematical skills
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Bake fresh pastries, bread, and other baked goods according to established recipes and food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Operate POS systems such as Toast or Square for retail sales transactions, cash handling, and order processing
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies, rotating stock, and tracking product freshness
