Director of Finance

We are a recognized leader in fresh meat processing and the production and export of brined and frozen food products. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Finance to join our leadership team.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance & Administration, the Director of Finance will play a critical role in managing the organization's financial operations and supporting strategic business decisions. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities across a multi-site operation.
Ensure the timely preparation and accuracy of monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and related reporting.
Analyze monthly and annual financial results, identify key business drivers, explain variances, and provide actionable recommendations.
Develop financial forecasts, including projections related to profitability, operational efficiencies, production capacity, and returns.
Create, maintain, and enhance financial dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools that support decision-making across the organization.
Oversee budgeting processes, financial controls, and monitoring of transactions across multiple divisions, profit centers, cost centers, and expense centers.
Track and manage government grant and subsidy programs.
Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for the Controller and accounting team members.
Collaborate closely with executive leadership to drive business performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation.
7–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing accounting teams within a manufacturing environment.
Strong expertise in financial statement analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word and PowerPoint).
Demonstrated ability to develop and improve financial reporting, operational metrics, and performance indicators.

Preferred

Experience in the food processing or food manufacturing industry.
Experience working with ERP systems and integrated business management software.
Proven track record of implementing financial controls and process improvements.

The salary range estimate below is inclusive of all departments, and offered salaries may vary within the given range between departments. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this level is $140,000 - $175,000 annualized and other competitive benefits.
