Full Job Description

Project Manager/Estimator - Custom Metal Fabrication

Metalcraft Services of Tampa, Inc. is looking for a Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will be responsible cultivating and maintaining strong working relationships with industry partners for contracted work. They will seek bid requests in custom metal fabrication in the South-East US. Estimating labor and material costs and negotiating pricing is a big part of the job. Other duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Manage all facets of the project life-cycle: awareness, bidding, contracting, engineering, production, installation, billing and feedback.
Cultivate sales to support year-round projects.
Review of architectural and structural drawings for bidding and estimating.
Contract evaluation pre- and post-award; understand lien rights and common conditions.
Manage and review project and shop drawings to align with bid documents.
Work with Drafters, engineering firms, vendors and production to ensure projects are delivered on-time with promised quality.
Oversee multiple projects and customers simultaneously.
Maintain our reputation as an excellent, knowledgeable and reliable manufacturer.

Position Requirements:

At least ten (10) years of experience working with construction design drawings and specifications and five (5) years of project estimating and bidding.
Drafting (CAD), steel fabrication and steel erection experience helpful.
Knowledge of metal types, fabrication techniques (cutting, bending, welding, fitting), hardware and finishes.
Experience with purchasing, sourcing and pricing of materials and component parts preferred.
Self-starting, team-oriented and achievement motivated.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
World-class customer service, attention to detail, planning and follow-up are essential.
Travel to production facility, customer locations, work-sites and vendors required.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
