SUMMARY: This Toolmaker position is responsible for designing and building tools and fixtures as well as running prototype work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Set-up and run lathes, milling machines and grinders.

Read and interpret blueprints or sketches and follow detailed work instructions.

Use standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gauge blocks.

Meet production schedules and quality standards.

Troubleshoot own work and assist others with production difficulties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent required

3-years’ experience setting up and operating lathes, mills, and grinders.

Must have good shop math skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be very detail oriented, organized, have good communication skills and be a team player.

Must be able to work quickly and accurately with little supervision.

CNC experience a plus

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
