The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced, driven Senior Project Manager to lead the successful execution of both new home construction and renovation projects. This role owns projects from pre-construction through completion and warranty, with responsibility for schedule, budget, quality, trade partner performance, client communication, and project profitability. The Senior Project Manager is expected to anticipate issues, make sound decisions quickly, and set a high standard for execution across every project.
This role is ideal for a construction leader who can manage multiple complex projects, move comfortably between field and office responsibilities, and provide confident leadership to homeowners, trade partners, suppliers, and internal teams.
What You'll OwnProject Leadership & Execution
· Lead the day-to-day execution of multiple new home and renovation projects from pre-construction through final completion and warranty.
· Create, maintain, and actively manage project schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates remain on track.
· Maintain tight control over project scope, cost, schedule, quality, and documentation.
· Identify risks, conflicts, deficiencies, and delays early; develop solutions and drive timely resolution.
· Coordinate field and office activities to keep projects advancing despite changing conditions and priorities.
Budget, Cost Control & Profitability
· Create and manage project budgets, including labor, materials, suppliers, and trade partner costs.
· Monitor costs throughout construction and take corrective action when variances occur.
· Partner with accounting to review profitability during the project and at job closeout.
· Review plans, specifications, scopes, and construction details for completeness, constructability, errors, and cost-saving opportunities.
· Protect project profitability while maintaining Custom One quality standards and client commitments.
Pre-Construction, Permitting & Planning
· Review plans and scope during estimating and proposal development and again prior to construction start.
· Coordinate required permits and pre-construction requirements.
· Develop the initial construction schedule and confirm project readiness before work begins.
· Lead pre-construction, trade, and finish meetings to align expectations, sequencing, responsibilities, and project details.
Trade Partner & Supplier Management
· Coordinate trade partners, suppliers, and craftsmen across all phases of construction.
· Hold trade partners accountable to schedule, workmanship, communication, and company standards.
· Provide consistent schedule and project updates to trade partners.
· Participate in the selection and evaluation of suppliers and trade partners.
· Recommend improvements in materials, subcontractors, craftsmen, and work methods to improve quality, efficiency, and production.
Quality & Detail Management
· Inspect all phases of construction and renovation to ensure workmanship and materials meet or exceed company standards.
· Maintain daily oversight of project quality and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
· Maintain detailed project documentation, photos, notes, and records.
· Use CompanyCam and Salesforce as core day-to-day project management tools for field documentation, photos, project updates, communication, and recordkeeping.
· Ensure punch-list, closeout, and service items are completed accurately and on time.
· Analyze recurring issues, determine root causes, and implement process improvements that reduce rework.
Client Communication & Experience
· Serve as the primary construction point of contact for homeowners throughout the project.
· Provide clear, consistent weekly client updates regarding progress, schedule, decisions, and upcoming activities.
· Lead key client meetings and walkthroughs, including trade walks, electrical/finish reviews, critical-stage inspections, final walkthroughs, and project acceptance.
· Set clear expectations, communicate challenges directly, and help clients feel informed and confident throughout the construction process.
· Educate homeowners on care, operation, and maintenance at project completion as appropriate.
Warranty & Closeout
· Ensure all punch-list deficiencies are completed prior to closing or final project turnover.
· Oversee applicable warranty obligations, including 30-day and 11-month walkthroughs for new homes and post-completion service responsibilities for renovation projects.
· Maintain visibility to outstanding deficiencies and ensure corrective work is completed within required timeframes.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
· Provide leadership, direction, and accountability across assigned projects and help raise the standard of project management execution.
· Participate in weekly project-status meetings and communicate risks, decisions, financial performance, and resource needs.
· Mentor and support project team members as needed, sharing best practices in scheduling, quality control, client communication, and problem solving.
· Contribute practical feedback that improves company systems, trade performance, materials, and construction processes.

· Projects meet high quality standards with minimal rework and timely correction of deficiencies.

What You Bring
· 5+ years of residential construction project management experience; experience across both new construction and renovation is strongly preferred.
· Strong understanding of residential construction processes, sequencing, permitting, quality control, and closeout.
· Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, profitability, trade partners, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders.
· Experience leading client communication and construction walkthroughs.
· Strong technology skills, including spreadsheets, with day-to-day proficiency working in CompanyCam and Salesforce to manage project documentation, communication, photos, updates, and project information.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments across multiple project locations.
