LOGISTICS PROFESSIONALS
Operations | Capacity | Account Management | Sales

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Compensation: Based on experience and career track; certain positions may include performance-based compensation.

LTB Logistics is building a bench of talented logistics professionals for continued growth.

This is not a posting for one generic “logistics job.” We are looking for strong candidates across four distinct career tracks: Operations, Capacity, Account Management and Sales.

Some applicants will have transportation experience. Others may come from fast-paced industries where urgency, accountability, communication and problem-solving matter. What matters most is whether you can think clearly, follow through and produce measurable results.

If your definition of working in logistics is forwarding emails, passing problems to someone else and waiting to be told what to do, this will not be a good fit.

ABOUT LTB LOGISTICS

LTB Logistics is a growing third-party logistics company headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. We coordinate freight transportation, develop carrier relationships and help customers manage complex supply-chain needs.

Our business moves quickly. Loads change, trucks break down, customers need answers and problems rarely arrive at convenient times. We value people who communicate early, take ownership and stay composed when the plan changes.

CHOOSE YOUR CAREER TRACK

LOGISTICS OPERATIONS

Operations owns the execution of the load after it is entered and scheduled.

Typical responsibilities include:

Entering and verifying load information
Confirming pickup and delivery appointments
Dispatching drivers and verifying readiness
Tracking shipments from pickup through delivery
Identifying delays before they become customer failures
Collecting proof of delivery and shipment documents
Documenting activity accurately in the transportation management system
Escalating service failures with facts and a proposed solution
Coordinating internally with Capacity and Account Management
Supporting after-hours or weekend coverage when scheduled

Strong Operations candidates are organized, calm under pressure, detail-oriented and willing to take responsibility for execution.

CARRIER CAPACITY

Capacity owns sourcing, qualifying and securing the right carrier for each shipment.

Typical responsibilities include:

Sourcing carriers through load boards, internal relationships and direct outreach
Negotiating competitive and sustainable transportation rates
Vetting carrier authority, insurance, safety and operating history
Matching equipment and carrier capabilities to shipment requirements
Building repeat relationships with dependable carriers
Confirming carrier commitments and driver availability
Protecting service quality while managing gross profit
Maintaining accurate carrier notes, rates and lane information
Developing core carriers for repeat lanes
Handing covered loads to Operations with complete and accurate information

Strong Capacity candidates are persistent, persuasive, commercially aware and comfortable making a high volume of calls. They understand that the cheapest truck is not always the right truck.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Account Management owns the customer relationship and the performance of an assigned portfolio.

Typical responsibilities include:

Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
Managing pricing, service expectations and account profitability
Communicating shipment updates and resolving customer concerns
Coordinating with Operations and Capacity without taking over their responsibilities
Reviewing shipment performance and preventing repeat failures
Managing customer implementations and new-lane launches
Monitoring gross profit, volume, service performance and account growth
Identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Ensuring rates, accessorials and billing information are accurate
Operating like the owner of the customer portfolio

Strong Account Management candidates combine customer service with commercial judgment. Being friendly is not enough; the position requires organization, decision-making and accountability for results.

LOGISTICS SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Sales owns the development of profitable new customer relationships.

Typical responsibilities include:

Prospecting through calls, email, referrals and networking
Identifying shippers with transportation needs that fit LTB’s capabilities
Conducting discovery conversations and qualifying opportunities
Developing pricing requests, proposals and bid opportunities
Maintaining accurate prospect activity and follow-up commitments
Working with leadership to evaluate profitability and operational fit
Transitioning new business into Account Management
Building a measurable and sustainable sales pipeline
Meeting activity, opportunity and gross-profit expectations

Strong Sales candidates are disciplined hunters. We are not looking for someone who enjoys talking about selling; we are looking for someone willing to prospect consistently and create revenue.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable using computers, email and business software
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
Reliable attendance and dependable follow-through
Ability to work on-site in Little Rock
Willingness to participate in scheduled after-hours coverage if required by the selected position
Ability to provide specific examples of past performance and accomplishments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in freight brokerage, transportation, trucking, dispatch, logistics, customer service or business-to-business sales
Experience with a transportation management system or load board
Experience negotiating rates or resolving service problems
Knowledge of truckload, flatbed, refrigerated or LTL transportation
Demonstrated success measured by revenue, gross profit, service performance, productivity or customer retention

Experience is valuable, but poor habits with experience are still poor habits. We will consider a high-potential candidate who is coachable, disciplined and capable of learning quickly.
