Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep professional, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, preparing ingredients for meal service, and supporting the culinary team with food handling and basic food preparation tasks. Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
Support the culinary team in meal assembly and ingredient organization following established recipes and menu plans
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, mixers, ovens, and other small appliances
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, storage areas, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety management standards
Follow safety protocols in handling food products to prevent contamination or spoilage
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep and ensure timely service during busy hours

Skills

Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and recipe adherence
Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members
Familiarity with cleaning protocols specific to the food industry environment
Previous restaurant or catering experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food service operations
Proficiency in knife skills, slicing techniques, and meal preparation methods
Awareness of safety standards in production environments to ensure a secure workspace
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
