About us

We are a high volume establishment seeking a skilled and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the existing bar operations and open additional bars in the area . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing profitability. This person must be good at managing staff, purchasing, receiving, inventory, and making informed decisions. This is not a corporate role where you will be micromanaged and/ or replenishing products that corporate has already decided you will purchase. This individual will ensure outstanding service standards, drive beverage sales, and maintain a vibrant, inviting atmosphere for guests. The Bar Manager will foster a culture of hospitality and teamwork, uphold our brand standards, and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities

· Bar Operations Management: Direct daily bar activities, including opening and closing procedures, stocking, inventory control, and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth, efficient operations during peak periods.

· Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise all employees, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to maintain a skilled and motivated team.

· Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional guest service by upholding high hospitality standards, engaging with guests, resolving complaints promptly, and creating memorable bar experiences.

· Beverage Program: Curate and update the beer, wine, and cocktail program to reflect current trends, seasonal selections, and customer preferences, including rotating local and imported brews.

· Sales & Revenue: Drive bar sales through suggestive selling, promotions, and special events, while actively monitoring costs to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.

· Compliance & Safety: Ensure all alcoholic beverage service complies with local, state, and federal laws and company policies, including responsible serving practices and staff certifications.

· Inventory & Cost Controls: Conduct accurate inventory counts, manage ordering, track usage, and minimize waste and loss through best practices and staff education.

· Event Support: Coordinate with the events team to execute private parties, live music nights, beer tastings, and festivals, adapting service and staffing to suit event needs.

· Cleanliness & Presentation: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing bar area at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in bar or restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume setting.

· Extensive knowledge of beer, spirits, and wine, with a passion for craft, local, and international selections.

· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Proven ability to manage costs, drive sales, and maintain high standards under pressure.

· Valid TABC and food handler certifications

· Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

· Able to pass background check
