Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Bather / Groomer Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves animals and wants to build real, high-level grooming skills in a premium salon environment.

In this role, you will work directly alongside our Head Groomer, receiving hands-on training and mentorship to help you develop the techniques needed to achieve the high-quality results featured on our website. Whether you're just starting out or looking to grow, this position offers a clear path to advancement.

We are a premium-priced grooming service, which means you’ll be learning and contributing to top-tier work—not basic, high-volume grooming. As your skills improve, your pay can increase regardless of your position, and high performers have the opportunity to advance from Bather to Grooming Assistant and even to a full Groomer.

Schedule: Part-time, mornings (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with potential for additional hours)

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and basic clipping
Assist groomers in preparing dogs for full grooming services and other tasks conducive to client care
Evaluate coat and skin condition to support proper grooming techniques
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment
Handle pets safely, calmly, and compassionately

Skills & Qualifications

No prior experience required—we will train the right person
Coachable and eager to learn new techniques
Strong work ethic
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and assist with larger breeds when needed
Good communication and customer service skills
Commitment to cleanliness and organization
Genuine passion for animal care and welfare
Consistent personal hygiene and professional appearance

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
