SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer for a remoteopportunity for candidates working EST hours. Candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise contact center and voice communication solutions across both traditional and cloud-based platforms. This role will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to enhance customer communication capabilities, improve platform reliability, and contribute to modernization initiatives involving next-generation contact center technologies.
Required Qualifications for the Telecommunications Network Engineer:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting telecommunications, VoIP, unified communications, or contact center environments.
- Strong hands-on experience administering and engineering enterprise contact center platforms.
- Experience configuring and supporting call routing, IVR applications, call flows, vectors, and voice infrastructure solutions.
- Experience working with cloud-based Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platforms, including Genesys Cloud or comparable technologies.
- Proficiency with scripting or development languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with Git-based source control platforms, IT service management tools, and cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN connectivity, and cloud networking fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Telecommunications Network Engineer:
- Experience with Genesys Cloud architecture, administration, or development.
- Relevant contact center or cloud communications certifications.
- Experience leading contact center transformation, migration, or modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of workflow design, process mapping, and technical diagramming tools.
- Experience integrating contact center platforms with enterprise applications and services.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
- Exposure to cloud-native communications technologies and automation solutions.
Responsibilities of the Telecommunications Network Engineer:
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise contact center solutions, including voice routing, IVR workflows, and customer interaction platforms.
- Support cloud-based contact center technologies and assist with platform integrations, enhancements, and modernization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain automation, scripting, and customization solutions to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
- Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements, develop technical solutions, and support project delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex telecommunications, routing, and platform-related issues while ensuring service reliability and performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, workflow diagrams, and operational procedures to support ongoing platform management.
