Full Job Description

Overview

Kisses Grooming & Studio provides a uniquely clean and relaxing salon approach to dog grooming. We also offer pet photography. We are looking for a dog stylist apprentice. You will be trained on the job in styling technique and expected to become a junior groomer after 1 year of work and training.

Primary Duties

Provide dematting, nail trimming, ear cleaning, bathing, and drying services for dogs.
Learn grooming techniques under supervision of the head groomer. Practice hair clippering and hand scissoring.
Help maintain clean working environment.
Support general Kisses operations as needed under the direction of the head groomer.

Experience

1+ year of dog bather experience
experienced with dog nail trimming, grinding, pawpad trimming, sanitary trimming

Ideal Candidate

You are comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds. Must be able to lift 50lb.
You are very gentle and patient with every dog.
You are very detail oriented and hard working.
You have reliable transportation and will be punctual.
