If you are a talented OD/ID Grinder seeking a long-term position with a premier high-precision manufacturer, we invite you to join our team. Based in Downers Grove, we are a leader in crafting essential components for high-stakes industries, where we prioritize technical mastery, superior quality, and a collaborative culture for our expert tradespeople.

Primary Duties

Configure and run Outer Diameter (OD) and Inner Diameter (ID) grinding equipment to meet exact project requirements.
Process a range of materials, such as heat-treated alloys and tool steel.
Analyze and translate intricate job orders, technical specifications, and blueprints.
Use precision tools like bore gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify that parts adhere to rigorous quality benchmarks, helping to ensure the final product meets customer expectations.
Carry out regular equipment upkeep and address mechanical issues as they arise.
Help maintain a safe and organized workspace for the benefit of the entire team.

Desired Skills and Experience

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the setup and operation of OD/ID grinding machinery, such as Studer, Landis, Cincinnati, or Tschudin.
Demonstrated capacity to maintain precise tolerances and reach required surface finishes.
Deep knowledge of wheel dressing, selection, and standard grinding methodologies.
Advanced ability to interpret blueprints, including proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure high-quality production outcomes.
High school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those holding trade or technical school credentials.
Consistent attendance record and a dedicated focus on maintaining safety and quality standards.
