About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused Phlebotomy Director/Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy. This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field.

The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high-quality lecture and hands-on clinical instruction. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards.

Campus Location: Buffalo, NY

What You’ll Do

Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions
Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competency
Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards
Encourage and support students throughout the program to promote successful completion
Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
Manage onsite inventory and supplies
Complete required classroom documentation in accordance with company policies
Maintain productive attendance and timeliness for all scheduled classes
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

State Qualifications

High School, GED, or equivalency completion; AND
5 years of practical experience in Phlebotomy, or five years of acceptable teaching experience in Phlebotomy, or five years of acceptable administrative or supervisory experience, or a combination of such acceptable experience amounting to at least five years. Letters from their Employer MUST be included showing 5 years.
Must attend a board Director course (15-clock hours) offered by the department in school administration. The training only happens two times a year; June and December. Training will be 3hrs a day for 5 mornings Mon-Friday 9-12pm. Training will need to be completed within 1st year of being hired; BPSS will email the director with an invitation to the next session
Current Phlebotomy Certification

Required Qualifications

Current Phlebotomy Certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy
Strong communication and instructional skills
Reliable transportation
A secure address to receive inventory shipments
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Proficiency with technology, including iPads, mirror casting, and basic troubleshooting
Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications

EKG knowledge and work experience
Prior teaching or training experience
