Infinity Care Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to administer the organization’s day-to-day human resources functions. This is a full-time, in-person position located in Stockton, California.
The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors and will independently manage routine HR matters involving recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, protected leaves, performance management, workers’ compensation coordination, compliance, training and personnel records.
The successful candidate must be comfortable handling confidential employee matters, providing practical guidance to supervisors, preparing clear and objective documentation, and recognizing when complex or higher-risk matters should be escalated to management, the Paychex HR Business Partner or employment counsel.

Manage job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, candidate communications and reference checks.

Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and develop or revise job descriptions and candidate qualifications.

Prepare offer letters and preemployment documentation following management approval.

Coordinate background checks, health screenings, credential verification and other preemployment requirements.

Conduct newhire orientation and explain company policies, benefits, timekeeping expectations and workplace procedures.

Ensure completion of Form I9, tax forms, directdeposit information, handbook acknowledgments and other onboarding documents.

Enter and maintain accurate employee information in Paychex Flex and other applicable systems.
Employee Relations and Management Support

Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, workplace practices and employmentrelated concerns.

Respond to and help resolve routine employeerelations matters in a timely, professional and consistent manner.

Conduct or support prompt, thorough and confidential workplace investigations; interview relevant individuals, document findings and maintain appropriate records.

Partner with managers to address attendance, performance, workplace conduct, conflict resolution and employeedevelopment matters.
-
Advise supervisors regarding consistent application of company policies and correctiveaction procedures.

Prepare documentation related to coaching, counseling, disciplinary action, performance improvement and separation processes.

Participate in employeerelations and disciplinary meetings and ensure appropriate documentation and followup.

Promptly escalate matters involving potential harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage violations or other significant legal risk.

Administer and track employee leaves, including FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave, workers’ compensation leave, paid sick leave and other applicable leaves.

Prepare required notices, request certifications and track documentation and response deadlines.

Maintain accurate records of continuous and intermittent leave usage, anticipated return dates and benefitcontinuation requirements.

Coordinate returntowork documentation, work restrictions and transitionalwork arrangements.

Support reasonableaccommodation and interactiveprocess procedures in partnership with management and the Paychex HR Business Partner.

Maintain confidential leave, medical and accommodation records separately from general personnel files.

Administer employee benefit enrollments, qualifyingevent changes, terminations and openenrollment activities.

Respond to employee benefit questions and coordinate resolution of enrollment, eligibility and claim concerns.

Track benefit eligibility and communicate enrollment deadlines.

Coordinate COBRA and other continuation requirements with the PEO or benefits administrator.

Review benefit enrollment and deduction information for accuracy and report discrepancies.
HRIS, Personnel Records and Compliance Documentation

Maintain accurate, complete and confidential electronic and paper personnel records.
-
Process employee changes involving compensation, position, department, supervisor, benefits, schedule and employment status.

Conduct audits of personnel files, Form I9 records, licenses, certifications, health screenings and required training.

Maintain records in accordance with company procedures and applicable privacy and retention requirements.

Maintain current job descriptions, organizational charts, employee directories and personnelstatus records.

Administer the organization’s performanceevaluation process and monitor completion of evaluations, introductoryperiod reviews and performance improvement plans.

Assist managers in preparing objective, jobrelated and welldocumented performance evaluations.

Track correctiveaction requirements, employeedevelopment goals and followup dates.
-
Coordinate required employment, compliance, safety and harassmentprevention training.
-
Identify overdue evaluations or training and recommend appropriate followup.
-
Administer and communicate company HR policies and procedures.

Participate in developing, reviewing and revising employee handbook provisions, personnel policies, forms and HR processes.

Monitor workplace practices for compliance with applicable federal, state and local employment requirements.

Review timekeeping and employee information for potential mealperiod, restperiod, overtime, finalpay and recordkeeping concerns.

Research routine HR questions and coordinate complex compliance matters with management, the Paychex HR Business Partner or employment counsel.

Coordinate workers’ compensation injury reporting, claim documentation and communication with employees, supervisors, the PEO and claim representatives.

Track workstatus reports, restrictions, followup appointments and returntowork requirements.

Maintain required injury, illness and safety records and assist with applicable Cal/OSHA reporting and recordkeeping.

Prepare and analyze HR reports concerning headcount, vacancies, turnover, absenteeism, leave usage, benefits, workers’ compensation, training, performance evaluations and compliance.

Identify trends, compliance concerns and operational deficiencies.

Provide management with recommendations to improve recruitment, retention, employee relations, compliance, training and HR processes.

One to three years of progressively responsible human resources experience.

Direct experience with employee relations, recruitment, benefits, leave administration and employment compliance.

Experience handling confidential employee matters and supporting disciplinary, performancemanagement and separation processes.

Experience conducting or supporting workplace investigations and documenting findings.
-
Working knowledge of California and federal employment requirements, including wageandhour laws, FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave, FEHA, ADA and paid sick leave.

Experience administering employee leaves and coordinating accommodation or returntowork procedures.

Experience using an HRIS, payroll platform or PEO system.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prepare professional employee correspondence, correctiveaction documentation, investigation summaries and HR reports.

Strong organizational, analytical and problemsolving skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment and recognize when escalation is necessary.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related business systems.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field. Substantial relevant HR experience may substitute for education.

Human resources experience in healthcare, home health, hospice or another regulated industry.

Experience using Paychex Flex or working within a PEO relationship.
-
SHRMCP, PHR, PHRca or comparable professional certification.

Experience advising supervisors regarding employee relations, performance management, discipline and policy administration.
