Salary Range $62,000-$107,000
Relocation Allowance

Avalon Hills is a privately owned residential treatment center specializing in eating disorders and co-occurring mental and physical health conditions. Physically located in an area surrounded by breathtakingly magnificent mountains, Logan, Utah provides ample educational, cultural, and sporting/recreational options. We enjoy the benefits of being in a college town, while retaining the safety of a small town with an affordable cost of living.

Our treatment is guided by a core philosophy: Treat to Outcome, which means that we are committed to positive treatment outcomes for our patients that are sustainable upon step down to a lower level of care. Our clinicians work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing creative interventions and mutual support to each other while treating this unique population.

Just as we believe in ongoing growth for our patients, we never stop our own growth, and have one of the most intensive continuing education programs in the country, with international experts, so that our staff is always as up to date as possible. At Avalon Hills, we don’t buy the idea that being at the top of our game ever means that “our learning days are over.”

We recognize that a variety of different treatments provided by effective therapists might be used in the recovery process. We support evidence-based practice that is grounded in a transtheoretical approach. We expect the selected candidate to be able to understand that different clients might require different theoretical approaches. Further, the integration of applied neuroscience such as heart rate variability, biofeedback, and neurofeedback is foundational in Avalon Hills’ use of a transtheoretical model to guide treatment. We are willing to train the right clinician and value a growth mindset, providing regular in-house educational opportunities.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range $62,000-$107,000 annually

Responsibilities

Qualifications/Requirements

The qualified applicant will possess a PhD, PsyD, MFT, MSW, or CMHC, and be Utah license eligible. The candidate will be internally-motivated and possess a desire to join a diverse treatment team of individuals focused on making a difference by creating positive long-term recovery outcomes for our patients. Those with varying ranges of experience from recent graduates to those with leadership background or leadership potential are encouraged to apply.

Education/Licensure

Required education
PhD, PsyD, MFT, MSW, or CMHC (or equivalent)

Required license or certification
License to Perform Clinical Therapy in Utah
