ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Always conducts themselves in a professional manner. Maintains patient/resident/employee privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
Participate as a team member and is accountable for own work responsibilities.
Basic knowledge of health insurance.
Detail Oriented and Task Driven.
Serve as back up for the Hospital Receptionist as needed including vacations, illnesses, lunches, etc.
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure proper billing for services provided.
Prepare patient packets for scheduled appointments.
Maintain accurate and current patient orders.
Accept and process all forms of payments.
Uphold facility policies and procedures.
Clean and sanitize office supplies and workstation.
Completing and releasing medical records, as needed.
Maintaining accurate and current patient images within EMR (ie. Drivers licenses, insurance cards, POA’s, etc.).
Greet and assist patients, family members, vendors, visitors, and employees by directing them to the appropriate department or person.
Deliver flowers and mail to patient rooms.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate person/department.
Distribute mail to appropriate FHW mailboxes.
Provide clerical assistance to other departments as needed and directed by Supervisor.
Assist other departments based on skills assessment as directed by Supervisor.
Maintain and balance cash box.
Maintain the front desk, mailroom and lobby area. Ensure all areas are well kept.
Maintain the All House calendars.
Other job related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses

No professional license required.

Certifications

No professional certification required.

Experience

Healthcare experience preferred.

HIRING TIME:

Open until filled.

SCHEDULE:

Core hours are Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 6:30 pm

WAGE RANGE: This position starts at $18.55 and goes up based on experience.
