Full Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support our outside sales team and help drive business growth. In this role, you'll be a key player in ensuring customer satisfaction and helping us grow our sales of

Pay for this position is $23-$25/hour.

This is more than just a sales desk position—you’ll be actively involved in purchasing, inventory management, account servicing, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with existing customers via phone and email
Actively upsell and promote products to grow customer accounts
Support outside sales staff with quotes, product sourcing, and service follow-through
Handle inbound orders, process POs, and track customer deliveries
Manage purchasing and maintain appropriate inventory levels
Learn and promote new product lines
Deliver a high standard of customer service and product knowledge
Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment
Help maintain accurate records of sales, stock, and customer communication

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in the lumber, plywood, or building materials industry is a strong asset
Background in inside sales, purchasing, quoting, or inventory management
Strong communication skills—phone, email, and interpersonal
Basic math skills and computer proficiency (Word, Excel, CRM systems)
Customer-first attitude with the ability to upsell and suggest relevant products
Organized, self-motivated, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and maintains consistent attendance
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience with social media for business purposes is a plus
