D365 F&O Business Analyst / Project AnalystPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Business Analyst / Project Analyst to support enterprise ERP implementations, enhancements, process improvements, and ongoing system initiatives.This role will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, functional teams, technical resources, and project leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of D365 Finance & Operations business processes, requirements gathering, functional analysis, testing, project coordination, and stakeholder management.The successful candidate will be able to understand complex business processes, translate business needs into D365 F&O requirements, support functional solution design, and help drive projects from requirements through implementation and stabilization.Key Responsibilities
- Support D365 F&O implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and optimization projects.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and system requirements.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate functional and business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed D365 F&O functional requirements.
- Conduct current-state and future-state process analysis.
- Identify gaps between existing business processes and standard D365 F&O functionality.
- Work closely with D365 functional consultants, developers, solution architects, and project managers.
- Participate in requirements workshops, process-mapping sessions, solution-design meetings, and stakeholder reviews.
- Create and maintain business requirements documents, functional requirements, process flows, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Support D365 F&O configuration and functional solution discussions.
- Assist with data migration, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Develop test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Document, prioritize, and track system defects through resolution.
- Support system integrations and interfaces between D365 F&O and other enterprise applications.
- Assist with cutover, deployment, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
- Prepare project status updates and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
- Support change management and business-user adoption activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, standardization, and increased utilization of D365 F&O.
- Maintain project and functional documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

- Maintain RAID logs and project documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, testing activities, and stakeholder reviews.
- Monitor action items and follow up with responsible parties.
- Support project reporting and executive-level status updates.
- Assist with change requests and scope management.
- Support implementation planning, cutover, and go-live activities.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop functional test scenarios and test cases.
- Support system integration testing (SIT) and UAT.
- Coordinate testing activities with business users and functional teams.
- Validate D365 F&O functionality against approved requirements.
- Document and manage defects.
- Participate in regression testing following system changes.
- Support business sign-off prior to production deployment.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, ERP Analyst, Functional Analyst, Project Analyst, or similar role.
- Direct experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong understanding of ERP business processes.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements.
- Experience supporting D365 F&O implementations, enhancements, upgrades, or optimization projects.
- Experience with functional testing and UAT.
- Strong understanding of business process mapping and gap analysis.
- Experience working with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project organization and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple D365 F&O functional modules.
- Experience working on full-cycle D365 F&O implementations.
- Experience with D365 F&O data migration and data validation.
- Experience with integrations and enterprise applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar project-management/development tools.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
- Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, retail, professional services, or other ERP-intensive environments.
Pay: $170,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
